Prince Philip Warned Harry About Meghan Markle Before the Wedding

New reports have just come out stating that Prince Philip told his grandson Prince Harry not to marry Meghan Markle for a reason that has shocked royal fans all over the world.

Fox News reported that When Harry started dating Meghan, Philip allegedly told him to tread carefully because “One steps out with actresses, one doesn’t marry them.” Sources say that Philip, 98, made the controversial comment just as Harry’s relationship with Meghan was turning serious.

Harry, 34, ignored his grandfather’s advice and married 37-year-old Meghan, who spent years starring on the television drama “Suits.” Last month, Meghan gave birth to their first child, a baby boy named Archie, and Philip was one of the first people to meet the child after his birth. Meghan revealed this in a short interview during a phone call in which she said, “We just bumped into the Duke as we were walking by, which was so nice.”

While Philip may have been cautious about Meghan early on in the relationship, he appears to have gotten over it by their wedding in May of last year. Since he was recovering from a hip operation at the time, many thought that Philip would not show up. That’s why it came as a huge surprise when he ended up walking her down the aisle, making it clear that he was supportive of the marriage after all.

Philip’s advice on marriage

This is not the first time Philip has spoken out to offer advice on marriage. Back in 1997, he dispensed advice based on his own marriage to Queen Elizabeth when he said, “Tolerance is the one essential ingredient. You can take it from me that the Queen has the quality of tolerance in abundance.”

While it’s unfortunate that Philip initially judged Meghan based on her profession, it’s important to remember that he is someone who is from a different time. Though this was his initial judgment of Meghan, he did not let this stop him from bonding with her, and they clearly have a fantastic relationship now. In the end, that’s all that really matters going forward!
