Goldberg Apologies For Super ShowDown

– Super ShowDown’s main attraction was Goldberg vs. Undertaker for the first time ever. The main event was not met with a great reaction by fans and Goldberg is aware. After the show, Goldberg went on Twitter to apologize to fans for the performance and the WWE Hall of Famer noted that he was knocked silly.

The match started with Goldberg hitting a pair of spears, but then he was sent into the turnbuckle early and he started bleeding pretty bad from his head. From that point on, the match quickly went downhill. Some have speculated that Goldberg suffered a concussion, but that has not been confirmed.

As for the conclusion, that was also met with several botches. Goldberg went for the jackhammer, but he really did not connect as the Undertaker came crashing down on his head. Then the finish with a tombstone being revered was also botched. In the end, Undertaker won with a sloppy choke slam. At the conclusion, fans could see that Undertaker knew the performance was nowhere near acceptable.

This was Goldberg’s first match since WrestleMania 33, where he lost to Brock Lesnar.

– Speaking of Super ShowDown, there was another historic moment as WWE booked the largest battle royal ever with 50 entrants. The match was won by Saudi Arabia’s own Mansoor, who just started with WWE a year ago.

One of the other 49 entrants was Ali, who noted after the Super ShowDown match that he was donating his check for the show to Charity Water. The organization’s goal is to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in need around the world.
