24/7 Title Change At A Wedding

– The WWE 24/7 Championship has seen the tittle change hands in some odds locations like an airport, 39,000 feet above the Red Sea and under the ring. We can now add a wedding to the list as R-Truth claimed the title from Drake Maverick to start his sixth reign.

On SmackDown, Maverick won the belt and had it around his waist as he got married less than a day ago. Shortly after getting hitched to indie wrestler Renee Michelle, R-Truth appeared and won the title with a roll-up.

Here is video of the title change and you can also spot some WWE superstars such as EC3 (who was Drake’s best man), Braun Strowman (who served as a groomsman) and Natalya as some of the familiar names in attendance.

Congratulations to Maverick for getting married and the same goes to R-Truth for reclaiming the gold.

– All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has a talented roster and Chris Jericho is easily the most recognizable. Jericho spoke to Jesse “The Body” Ventura on RT America and noted that the decision to join AEW was easy.

“From a business standpoint, there was no choice,  said Jericho. “AEW was better across the board,” Jericho explained. “From the guarantee that I was given, the employee status, the healthcare, there is a lot more of that going on. I think that is going to continue to grow, which will force WWE to follow suit or everybody will want to leave WWE and come to AEW; which is already starting to happen.”

There are reportedly several superstars who have interest in joining AEW once their WWE contracts expire. AEW has already signed former WWE superstars Shawn Spears and Jon Moxley. With AEW having plenty of money and a TV deal that begins this fall on TNT, they have the right formula to possibly be a legit threat to WWE.
