Lars Sullivan Apologizes & WWE Reacts

– Lars Sullivan’s main roster debut as been anything but smooth. He was set for a major debut, where he was supposed to challenge John Cena at WrestleMania 35. That did not happen due to an anxiety issue and some also found many messages from a bodybuilding forum years ago, which saw Sullivan make some horrible comments.

Wrestle Votes noted how WWE was aware of the comments and they were “hoping it stay low and disappears.”

That was not the case as fans went on the attack and wrestlers like Big E and Kalisto also did not take kind to the comments. Now, Sullivan as apologized with the following message:

“There is no excuse for the inappropriate remarks that I made years ago. They do not reflect my personal beliefs nor who I am today, and I apologize to anyone I offended.”

We will have to see how WWE handles the situation, but they have major plans for “The Freak.” Considering how he is only gaining momentum each week on TV and an apology has been provided, WWE will likely not punish Sullivan.

– Luke Harper requested his WWE release shortly after WrestleMania 35, which he made public on Twitter, after not getting any major storylines. Vince McMahon denied the release and added six months to Harper’s contract because of time away due to a wrist injury.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McMahon told Harper to speak with Triple H over the matter. As of now, it is unknown if Triple H spoke to Harper.

If WWE does not grant Harper his release, he will likely sit at home until around April 2020. The contract was to expire in November of this year, but then WWE added six months. Apparently Bray Wyatt tried to have Harper come in as part of his new gimmick, but that idea did not work.
