Dean Ambrose Reveals More Details On His WWE Release!

Dean Ambrose has left the WWE several weeks ago and is now known under the name Jon Moxley. During an interview on Talk Is Jericho, Dean Ambrose revealed some information about his WWE departure and why he was unhappy with the company. Naturally, the podcast made for some interesting reading.

Dean Ambrose Refused To Speak Scripted Lines About Roman’s Cancer Battle

According to Dean Ambrose (now Jon Moxley), Vince McMahon scripted some of the lines for him when it came to the Roman cancer fight angle. Ambrose stated that the lines were so bad, it would have costed the WWE sponsors and that he refused to speak them.

Ambrose also spoke out about the fact that the company used Roman’s cancer battle for publicity and that he was appalled by the entire situation. He called the entire situation “distasteful”.

Vince Cried When He Left

When we think about Vince McMahon, the last thing we think about is emotion. However,  Moxley revealed that Vince McMahon cried when he told him of his plans to leave the company. He also stated Vince was surprised when he told him he was unhappy within the company. Not a good reaction from the boss it would seem, as Dean apparently stated his discontent for years.

He Did Not Even Read The Contract Extension

When his departure was rumored, the WWE tried to convince Dean to stay by offering him a much better contract. However, Dean revealed that he did not even look at the initial contract extension from the WWE. So, no matter which contract he would be offered by the company after that, it would seem that he had his mind set on leaving from that point.

Dean Ambrose Or Pooper Scooper?

The WWE apparently had a new gimmick planned for Ambrose as a pooper scooper. The pooper scooper would be a germaphobe, cleaning off the stench of his shield memories. Needless to say, the gimmick is not one of the company’s best ideas.

The Innoculations Promo Was The Final Straw

Jon Moxley has been unhappy within the WWE for some time, but according to him the final straw was the innoculations promo he had to do for Raw in November 2018. During the promo, he would receive a shot in the bum from a fake doctor.

He Only Made $500 From The Shield Final Chapter

The Shield Final Chapter segment that took place on April 21, 2019 should have made all superstars a considerable amount of money. However, Ambrose only received $500 for the night.

Despite the low wage, Ambrose stated that the real problem was that he felt depressed within the company. All he wanted to do was get out of the situation, which he eventually did with his departure to AEW.
