Roman Reigns Heading to SmackDown Live?

Some big changes are in the works for the superstar shakeup. While there have been a lot of names rumored to change brands, one of the biggest  rumors is none other than Roman Reigns.

Tease by the WWE

Roman Reigns was originally not rumored to move brands. However, a recent tease by the WWE has given fans food for thought. It is now believed he will move to SmackDown Live.

On WWE.com, there is a small segment “5 Moves We Want To See In The 2019 Superstar Shakeup.” There are some surprising superstars in this list. It ranges from The Undisputed Era to Braun Strowman. However, the most notable one is Roman Reigns.

A Roman Reigns Reboot

Bringing Roman Reigns to SmackDown Live could have a number of advantages for his character. Roman was one of the best merchandise sellers in the WWE before his departure. Of course, he was plagued by a lot of haters as well, especially at live events. Moving Roman to a different brand and giving him access to new rivalries and feuds could be just the thing he needs to reboot his career.

Depending on the superstars who will stay on the blue brand, there are some interesting picks for Roman Reigns. They could include AJ Styles, Andrade Cien Almas, Daniel Bryan, and even the current champion Kofi Kingston. Needless to say, there are a lot of fresh feuds that could happen with Roman on SmackDown Live.

Benefits for the WWE and Fox Network

I have no doubt that the WWE is not suggesting a move for Roman Reigns for the benefit of Roman Reigns. If you remember correctly, the WWE needs to increase its ratings for SmackDown Live dramatically to meet the demands of Fox Network. Moving a WWE superstar such as Roman Reigns to SmackDown Live could be just the ticket.

Of course, the move of Roman Reigns is just speculation at this point. The WWE may have mentioned him on their list, but it could be a ploy to get people to tune in to the superstar shakeup over the next couple of days. If he really will be moved to SmackDown Live remains to be seen.

Do you think moving Roman Reigns to the SmackDown Live brand is a good idea? Or do you believe he should remain on the Raw brand for other rivalries and feuds? Let us know your opinion in the comment section below.
