Jussie Smollett to Remain on ‘Empire’ as Roseanne Is Still Out of a Job

It has just been reported that Jussie Smollett will continue to appear on the Fox television show “Empire” next season after charges were controversially dropped against him for falsely reporting a hate crime against himself. Meanwhile, Roseanne Barr remains out of a job because of a single tweet she posted about a former advisor of Barack Obama’s.

Fox News reported that when “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson was asked if Smollett would be appearing on season six of the show, she replied, “Yes. I haven’t heard anything else.”

“I talk to Jussie all the time. And he’s doing well,” she said.

Many feel that Smollett should be in prison for allegedly lying about the fact that he was assaulted by two men who hurled racist and homophobic slurs at him while also shouting that this is “MAGA country.” Chicago police concluded afterward that Smollett had made up the attack and paid the two men to assault him, yet charges against him were dropped after a former aide to Michelle Obama intervened.

Despite everything that has happened, Smollett has still been given a second chance and has been allowed to keep his job. The reason for this is simple: it’s because he’s a liberal. When a liberal slips up in Hollywood, he or she is forgiven immediately and allowed to continue working as if nothing happened. Meanwhile, a conservative like Barr is instantly blacklisted after he or she slips up in even the slightest of ways. Barr will likely never work in Hollywood again because of one simple tweet, yet Smollett committed a crime that could have put him in prison for 48 years and he still has his job.

If Smollett were a conservative who had faked a hate crime committed by liberals, there’s no way that Hollywood would be welcoming him back with open arms like this. It’s time for Fox to do the right thing and FIRE Jussie Smollett from “Empire!”
