Now that time has passed, former UFC champion Conor McGregor is asking to move forward and past his recent Twitter outbursts.
McGregor took aim at UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and his family late Tuesday night with several tweets that included his wife.
“I want to move forward, with my fans of all faiths and all backgrounds,” McGregor wrote. “All faiths challenge us to be our best selves. It is one world and one for all.”
Nurmagomedov fired back and UFC president Dana White has since stepped in to try and quiet the uproar. Nurmagomedov scored a victory last year over McGregor in defense of his belt.
While McGregor announced his “retirement” recently, that appears over with the final part of his most recent message stating “Now see you in the Octagon.”
