Brock Lesnar Leaving After WrestleMania?

The WWE has been putting it on thick that fans want a change from Brock Lesnar as the WWE Universal Champion. Naturally, this has everything to do with the promotion of the WrestleMania match between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins for the title.

Despite the fact Brock Lesnar has been rumored to depart from wrestling a million times over in the past year or so, the man is still running around with the championship belt, much to the dislike of die-hard wrestling fans. So, what will happen after WrestleMania?

Indications of Brock Lesnar Leaving After WrestleMania?

It is no secret that Dana White would love Brock Lesnar back into the UFC, as he draws a big audience. While this used to be true for the WWE, Lesnar has left many people unimpressed with his recent title reigns. I have noticed he put in more of an effort in his latest matches, but is it too little too late?

The WWE seems to purposely antagonise their crowd lately as well. They no longer hiding the fact that fans are unhappy with Lesnar’s title reign. Once again, this could be an indication that the title will be dropped to a younger and more active talent in the form of Seth Rollins.

Finally, the crowd has been supporting Seth Rollins unlike any other match on the Wrestlemania card. Chants such as “slay the beast” are sounding louder with every passing week.

Indications Against Brock Lesnar Leaving After WrestleMania?

When the WWE makes something too obvious, be ready for a swerve. Unsurprisingly, this is the fear many WWE fans have at the moment, leading them to believe Seth Rollins will be the next sacrificial lamb.

Another indicator of Brock Lesnar leaving after WrestleMania is a giant swerve could be his track record over the past two years. While everyone was convinced he was going to drop the title because of poor matches, he ended up continuing to reign anyway. At the moment, they are promoting it in a way so people will watch. But what happens if he retains again? Is there still a need for the Universal Championship? I have problems remembering what the title looks like.

Brock Lesnar himself is also a factor in this continuing saga. If he decides he wants to stay with the WWE, he will get a good deal for it too. And, that may include a continuation of his championship reign. While most of us do not understand why the company keeps on throwing money at him, Vince must have a valid reason to keep the UFC fighter in the company. Still, the numbers will continue to reflect people’s displeasure. So, one must wonder where it will end.

Our Verdict

Hate to say it, but I do not have big hopes for Brock Lesnar leaving after WrestleMania. Considering all the talk surrounding Lesnar, it is likely that the company has a deal in place for him well into 2019. Maybe we will finally see the end at SummerSlam? Whatever it is, I will have zero interest in the Universal Championship as long as it is around Lesnar’s waist.
