Prince Charles Issues Warning to Meghan Markle

It has just been revealed that Prince Charles warned Meghan Markle not to wear a tiara for a state dinner overseas the same night that her sister-in-law Kate Middleton wore a diamond-emblazoned tiara at Buckingham Palace.

Fox News reported that Meghan asked to wear a jeweled tiara from the Royal Collection for a state dinner in Fiji in October, but sources said that Charles said no because he did not want the Duchess of Sussex to look “extravagant.” That same night, Kate wore a diamond and pearl tiara that had once been owned by Princess Diana, the late mother of Prince William and Prince Harry.

“Meghan did not understand all of this because she was new to the role and so Prince Charles told her that it would not be appropriate,” a source said. “It was very kindly done.”

The source went on to say that Charles told Meghan not to wear the tiara because of the low socioeconomic status of much of Fiji compared to the riches of the royal family.

“The Prince, having travelled to all these places many times over many years, is very well placed to give advice on such matters,” the source said.

This comes amidst reports that Kate and Meghan do not get along very well. Should these rumors be true, this incident with the tiara could not have helped their relationship.

This incident serves as a reminder that being a member of the British royal family is not all fun and games. While it may seem like Meghan can do whatever she wants, there are actually tons of rules that she has to follow as a royal. Hopefully, Meghan did not let this incident sour her relationship with Charles, as the two are said to be very close. While she may have been upset over his warning, there will be plenty of opportunities for her to wear the tiara in the future!
