Liberal Is Arrested After Assaulting Conservative Activist at UC Berkeley

Last week, we reported that a conservative activist had been assaulted at U.C. Berkeley in a disturbing viral video. Now, his attacker has finally been arrested.

Fox News reported that Zachary Greenberg, 28, has been arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and attempting to cause great bodily injury after the February 19 attack on 26-year-old Hayden Williams, who was at the school as a field representative for the conservative group The Leadership Institute. Williams was holding a sign that read “Hate Crime Hoaxes Hurt Real Victims” when he was approached by Greenberg who had a problem with the sign’s message. Greenberg proceeded to punch Williams in the face several times, leaving him with a black eye.

Charlie Kirk, founder and President of Turning Point USA, released a brief statement about Greenberg’s arrest, calling the evidence against him “incontrovertible.”

“Today, we have finally learned the identity of the attacker and that the violent man has been arrested. While every America should be afforded their due process, we believe that the video evidence in this case is incontrovertible. We hope 28-year-old Zachary Greenberg is prosecuted to the full extent of the law for assault with a deadly weapon, which should be considered an act of hate. Hopefully, this dark chapter will act as a wake up call to those concerned about actual politically motivated hate crimes in America. Berkeley and all college campuses across American should be safe havens for free thought and opinions – especially for a targeted conservative minority.”

We’re glad that Greenberg was arrested for this vicious assault, and we hope that he receives the harsh punishment that he deserves. The left tries to make it look as if liberals are the ones who are in danger from violent attacks by conservatives, but videos like this show that it is, in fact, the other way around. The media has vilified conservatives so much that leftists now see attacking us physically as socially acceptable, which has endangered the lives of millions of supporters of Donald Trump. We can only hope that this attack and Greenberg’s arrest will inspire liberals to treat conservatives with more respect in the future.
