Meghan Markle has been an official member of the British royal family for less than a year, but it’s just been reported that her work ethic has already greatly impressed Queen Elizabeth II.

Fox News reported that the Queen has been so impressed that Meghan has stayed so busy, even in the final months of her pregnancy, that she may give her a rare honor: a thank you note. Though Meghan is due to give birth to her first child in April, she has not slowed her globe-trotting down one bit. Last week alone, she flew to New York City for her baby shower, then back to London, then to Morocco on a royal trip “at the request of Her Majesty’s Government.”

Meghan and her husband Prince Harry spent three days in Morocco where they had a jam-packed schedule. Their time there included a visit with Mohammed VI, the King of Morocco, and his sisters Princess Lalla Hasna and Princess Lalla Meryem, a meeting with young Moroccan entrepreneurs, and a visit to the Royal Equestrian Club to see horses that are used to help disabled children.

Queen Elizabeth to reward Meghan for her hard work

The Queen is so impressed by Meghan’s stamina that insiders expect she will send the couple a thank you note, something that she rarely does.

“The Queen is amazed by the duchess’s energy and stamina given that she is so heavily pregnant,” a royal source said. “For the Queen and her generation, you generally hid your bump and put your feet up in this stage of pregnancy, but Meghan hasn’t stopped.”

The source added that because of this, “there may well be a letter waiting for the duke and duchess when they return. She respects hard work and loyalty above everything.”

So much of what has been reported about Meghan in recent weeks is negative, so it’s good to hear that the Queen is so proud of her. Regardless of what you think of Meghan personally, nobody can deny that the stamina she has shown in the final months of her pregnancy is impressive. Meghan truly deserves all the credit in the world for her dedication.

That being said, we also hope that Meghan will not overdo it and will slow down a bit in the coming weeks. Hard work is great, but her main priority in the last month of her pregnancy should be her baby’s health. Meghan should remember that while the Queen loves hard work, nothing will make her happier than another healthy great-grandchild!
