Colin Kaepernick Removed from Black History Month!

Wisconsin Republicans in the state’s House of Representatives have just come together to block a Black History Month resolution until those behind it remove the name of former NFL star Colin Kaepernick from the document.

Liberals have long been trying to paint the failed San Francisco 49ers quarterback Kaepernick as a victim of racism, claiming that he has not been signed by another team since 2017 because of his racial protests of taking a knee during the national anthem. Others, however, have argued that he really hasn’t been signed because he was a terrible quarterback who led the 49ers to a losing record in 2016, the final full season he played for them.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Republicans have argued that Kaepernick should be removed from the resolution because it should be free of controversial figures.

“I think it’s important to recognize the contributions of literally thousands and thousands of African-Americans to our state’s history but also trying to find people who, again, bring us together,” said Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos. “Not look at people who draw some sort of vitriol from either side.”

Dems accuse Republicans of “white privilege” over Kaepernick

Unsurprisingly, Democrats responded to Republican protests over Kaepernick with name-calling, calling it “a textbook example of white privilege.”

“Many of these people that you don’t agree with will still be in the history books that your children and grandchildren will be reading,” said Democratic Rep. David Crowley.

In the end, Republicans got the victory on this one, as the resolution was passed after the removal of Kaepernick’s name.

Frankly, we’re tired of seeing Democrats treat Kaepernick like some kind of martyr when he is not one at all. Instead, he’s a spoiled, overpaid football player who decided to use his platform to disrespect our flag and our veterans by taking a knee during the national anthem. Perhaps, if he had focused more on football and less on disrespecting our nation during the 2016 season, Kaepernick would have found another team by now. We applaud Wisconsin Republicans for staying strong on this and making sure that Kaepernick was not given yet another reward for his anti-American moves.

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
