Why Undisputed Era Not Called Up, RAW Christmas Eve Spoilers

– It was an explosive night on RAW, as Vince, Stephanie, and Shane McMahon, along with HHH announced a ‘fresh start’ for the Red brand amongst low ratings for the show and fan grumbling. They promised new faces, and later in the program a video montage outlined a variety of NXT call ups set to hit the main roster very soon. Superstars included: Lars Sullivan (which the WWE Universe was already aware of), Nikki Cross, EC3, Lacey Evans, as well as tag team Heavy Machinery.

Many were surprised that the Undisputed Era was left out of the call up video, considering how over they are within NXT. Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer chimed in on this, trying to make sense around why the WWE would refrain from calling up the Undisputed Era, stating that it could be because the faction is ‘carrying NXT’; however, he did note that the company should want to bring up the talent that is most-over in NXT to create a real shake up on RAW and the main roster.

Interestingly enough, the company focused last night’s call ups on superstars that aren’t a part of any NXT TakeOver: Phoenix programs. The event’s card is currently booked, and it might be difficult to call a talent up who is already set for the event.

– Unlike last year, the WWE has decided to give their Monday Night RAW and SmackDown LIVE superstars the night off for the holidays, pre-taping both shows set to air next week. According to PWInsider, below are full spoilers for the Christmas Eve (December 24th) episode of RAW:

*Elias opened RAW with a holiday song, mocking Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley. This led to a ‘Miracle on 34th Street Match’, where Bobby Lashley was defeated by Elias. Fun note: egg nog was dumped over Rush.

*RAW Tag Team Title holders Chad Gable and Bobby Roode defeated The Revival.

*Finn Balor defeated Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre via a triple threat bout.

*McIntyre announced his entry in the 2019 men’s Royal Rumble match.

*Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Ember Moon defeated Mickey James, Alicia Fox, and Dana Brooke in a six-woman bout. Bayley grabbed the three-count over James, and then the Riott Squad attacked the face team after the match.

*Paul Heyman cut an in-ring Royal Rumble promo about Brock Lesnar defeating Braun Strowman. The Monster Among Men came out, with no sling on his arm, threatening The Advocate, and then placing a Santa hat on him.

*Ronda Rousey defeated Nattie to retain her RAW Women’s Championship.

*Heath Slater won via DQ over Jinder Mahal when the Singh Brothers interfere. Santa comes out for the save, and it ends up being Rhyno.

*Seth Rollins defeated Baron Corbin.
