Robert De Niro Unloads Hatred for Trump on CNN Host

Ever since Donald Trump took office, Hollywood star Robert De Niro has completely lost his mind and has been launching deranged attacks on the president. On Monday, De Niro attacked Trump once again during a bizarre appearance on CNN.

During the appearance, De Niro described Trump’s presidency as a “nightmare” that was worse than anything he “ever thought” that he would see during his lifetime.

“I mean, I never thought in my lifetime, and I’ve seen a lot in my lifetime, I never thought–I was working out with my trainer the other day and I’m–we’ve seen horrible things over the years,” De Niro began, according to Breitbart. “But this is one of the worst, that I have ever seen and that I ever, as I say, ever thought I would see. But it’s real.”

“I just, you know, I know what kind of person this guy is,” the actor continued. “He’s a New Yorker who I never would want to meet. Never want to meet him, and now he’s president, and the reason I wouldn’t want to meet him is because of the kind of person he is.”

“As we all know now, there’s nothing new,” De Niro said. “It’s just–it’s disgraceful. But, we’ll get past it. It’ll be one of the thing, it’ll be like a nightmare that you remember. I’ll be with my trainer, we’ll be five years from now and say ‘Remember all that stuff, how terrible it was?’ At least I…lived to see the time when this will all pass, like any nightmare.”

First of all, CNN should be ashamed of themselves for putting this actor on television to discuss the president. Why should any of us care about an actor like De Niro’s opinions about politics?

Secondly, De Niro hates Trump for the same reason that his fellow wealthy Hollywood elites do. Unlike Barack Obama, Trump did not become president to help fill the pockets of the rich and famous in Hollywood. Instead, he became president to help working-class Americans. Since becoming president, Trump has followed through with his promise to help the working class and has completely ignored the rich elitists in Hollywood. This infuriates an egomaniac entertainer like De Niro, but Trump could not care less what he thinks.

In the end, De Niro can whine about Trump as much as he wants to, but it won’t change the fact that our president is here to stay.
