WWE Not Mentioning Hulk Hogan, Interest In Impact Wrestling Team

Hulk Hogan returned to WWE at Crown Jewel, but apparently the promotion is still keeping their distance. At Crown Jewel, Hogan came to the ring and cut a short promo. It was his first WWE related appearance since the summer of 2015. The WWE Hall of Famer was fired after a sex tape was leaked; as it featured him making racially insensitive comments.

“The social media department has been told zero Hulk Hogan; not saying that he’s never gonna be back again,” said Bryan Alvarez during Wrestling Observer Live. “I think that they’re just biding their time and he’s going to do his big return again, this time on a show here in the United States. Boy, did he drop off the face of the Earth after that Crown Jewel show.”

WWE did not promote Hogan’s Crown Jewel appearance and there has been no mention of the moment all week. Hogan will likely appear for WWE again, but officials need to be careful how they handle the situation. Since Saudi Arabia wanted Hogan at Crown Jewel, WWE allowed him to appear.

– With WWE always on the hunt to sign new names, they have their eyes on a particular Impact Wrestling tag team. According to PWInsider Elite, WWE has shown interest in signing the original LAX team of Homicide and Hernandez.

The report continued that WWE is always looking to add depth for their Latin audience. This can be seen with WWE re-signing Rey Mysterio and brining Andrade “Cien” Almas up to the main roster from NXT. They also have the likes of Sin Cara and Kalisto, but they are not near the main event scene.

In Impact Wrestling, LAX found lots of success and won the tag titles on three occasions. Homicide and Hernandez would eventually part with the promotion before returning last year. They eventually branched away from the name LAX and started going by The OGz. They then feuded with a new version of LAX, losing the feud. It is not known if Impact Wrestling has long-term plans for Homicide and Hernandez moving forward.

It is believed if either sign with WWE, they would likely work as coaches for the Performance Center.
