The Ultimate Fighting Championship has officially announced the details for Robert Whittaker versus Kelvin Gastelum, and as expected, the fight is going down in the champ’s national backyard.
Whittaker – Gastelum will headline UFC 234, which will take place on February 10th (February 9th in North America) at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.
Whittaker (20-4) is coming off a tightly contested, split decision win over Yoel Romero in June. “Bobby Knuckles” is riding a nine-fight winning streak.
Gastelum (15-3, 1 no contest) has been tapped for a title fight, after he earned a split decision win over “Jacare” Souza in May. The American is 3-1, with 1 no-contest in his last 5 scraps.
No other bouts for the pay-per-view card have been announced yet.
