When tragedies like the California wildfires happen, unfortunately, some people take advantage of the situation, including robbing people’s homes and property. However, criminals would be wise not to do that anywhere near singer Pink’s house.

“Pink’s husband issued a stern warning on social media to those who think they are going to be able to loot houses that have been damaged by the devastating wildfire in Southern California,” reported Fox News on Wednesday.

Fox News continued. “Carey Hart, the 43-year-old former motocross racer, posted a photo to Instagram on Tuesday showing a group of people armed with rifles and their [faces] covered in masks. The group is posing behind a wood sign that reads: ‘Looters will be shot on site!”

Mr. Hart isn’t messing around.

“Looters will be shot on site!”

“It’s unfortunate that some people take advantage of others in a crisis,” Hart wrote in an Instagram post. “While the malibu fires have been burning, some locals have been fighting off and defending their property against the fires. There have been sightings of looters breaking in to homes. Well, if you are a looter, think twice if you are heading back into malibu.”

The wildfires are affecting thousands in Southern California, including many celebrities. Because of their fame and obvious wealth, police have been on high alert for potential looting.

Pink has been on record as supporting increased gun control. While her husband’s politics aren’t exactly known, he obviously supports the Second Amendment. Using firearms to defend one’s life or property – whether against a tyrannical government as the Founders envisioned or criminals, which happens more often – is enshrined as a right in our Constitution for a reason.

“If you come here with the intent of taking advantage of this situation, we will arrest you and you will go to jail,” Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Eric Buschow said Monday.

If any looters show up to Pink’s house, they will probably wish they had gone to jail instead of what might await them.
