Earlier this week, we reported that Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha had traveled to London claiming that she wanted to meet with the Duchess of Sussex face-to-face, supposedly so that they could reconcile. However, just a few days later, Samantha seems to have forgotten the intended purpose of her visit, as she has once again publicly bashed Meghan.
Fox News reported that Samantha took to Twitter to effectively call Meghan a liar by claiming that she hasn’t always been as close to her mother, Doria Ragland, as she has made it seem. Meghan has referred to Doria as her best friend and suggested that her mother effectively raised her alone, a claim that Samantha alleges is false.
“Dad pretty much raised her most of her life on his own and Doria was not around very much,” Samantha tweeted. “Doria might be her best friend now because she ghosted her friend of 30 years. Nikki [Ninaki] Priddy.”
Priddy was Meghan’s best friend for years and was a bridesmaid at her 2011 wedding to Trevor Engelson, but the two have since become estranged for reasons that are unknown to the public.
“You have no idea what is going on behind the scenes,” Samantha concluded her Twitter rant. “She ignored my father through a heart attack there is no excuse for it. You would be mentally ill to think that is OK. Maybe you were the one who needs the counseling.”
This only makes us understand Meghan’s decision to cut off Samantha and the rest of that side of the family more. Meghan, Prince Harry, and the rest of the royal family have made it clear to her family and friends that they do not want them talking to the press and the public about them. Despite this, even when Samantha travels to the U.K. supposedly to specifically reconcile with her sister, she can’t resist throwing in more digs at her.
Now more than ever, it’s clear that Samantha is far more interested in achieving fame and fortune for herself than she is in having a relationship with her sister. If she really did want to have a relationship with Meghan, she would have stopped publicly bashing her a long time ago.
