Joanna Gaines shared an adorable Instagram photo of her newborn son Crew but the best part was the sweet story behind it.
This is the first good look we have gotten at this precious baby. Chip is holding his son in the picture that provides a close-up of Crew’s face. Even though Crew was born over two weeks ago, the proud father is still seen wearing his hospital bracelet.
Joanna shared that this is a tradition that Chip started when their oldest child Drake was born. Chip wears the hospital bracelet until it falls off. He’s done this after each of their five children’s births.
This family is over the moon to have grown by one. Sometimes, older siblings are jealous over being displaced by a new arrival who gets so much attention but not the Gaines children! They were anxiously awaiting meeting Crew.
As the youngest of five children, Crew is getting lots of snuggle time. His older sisters especially love doting on him. Joanna has been sharing pictures on Instagram of their daughters showering Crew with love. In the latest round of Instagram Story photos, 11-year-old Ella and 8-year-old Emmie Kay are seen taking turns cuddling with Crew on a hammock.
Those girls certainly love their little brother!
Chip and Joanna ended their smash HGTV hit “Fixer Upper” to spend more time with their children. It’s obvious prioritizing their family was the right move for them and everyone in the family is enjoying getting all the newborn cuddles they can.
Spending time with Crew is an investment she will never regret. This time flies by and is so important to the emotional health of the baby and the parents. The Gaines are basking in the joy of having a new son. God bless them for it!
