Gaines fifth baby

Chip and Joanna Gaines have officially welcomed their fifth child into the family. Joanna gave birth to an adorable little boy on Saturday. Chip announced the exciting news early Saturday morning, but he didn’t reveal his son’s name. He left that honor to Joanna.

The older sons of the HGTV stars have names beginning with D. Many people thought Chip and Joanna would continue this theme with their youngest child. Earlier this year, Chip even joked about naming him Dragon. Ultimately, Chip did not win that battle.

Later that morning, Joanna shared pictures of their son and announced his name. Unbeknownst to his followers, Chip had given them a clue in his tweet. The couple broke tradition by naming their youngest son Crew. And he is a beautiful baby! The proud mother can’t take her eyes off him!

Crew was born two weeks early. Joanna felt it was rather appropriate that he came on his own time since he was a surprise bonus baby.

That is a happy family! Joanna looks amazing even after just giving birth.

This family is over the moon to have grown by one. Sometimes, older siblings are jealous over being displaced by a new arrival who gets so much attention. Not the Gaines children! They were anxiously awaiting meeting Crew. As the picture below shows, they were excitedly stationed at the door to Joanna’s room waiting for him to be born.

Crew is actually a name on the rise in the United States. It has been gaining popularity in recent years. Since the Gaineses chose it, the name is likely to become a more visible choice for new parents.

Chip and Joanna ended their smash HGTV hit “Fixer Upper” to spend more time with their children. It’s obvious prioritizing their family was the right move for them. Joanna is enjoying getting all the newborn cuddles she can.

Spending time with Crew is an investment she will never regret. This time flies by and is so important to the emotional health of the baby and the parent. The Gaines are basking in the joy of having a new son. God bless them for it!
