Liberals can protest Chick-fil-A all they want, but the Atlanta-based chicken chain just keeps winning. According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index’s (ACSI) Restaurant Report 2018, Chick-fil-A is America’s favorite fast-food chain for the third year in a row – and it wasn’t even close.
ACSI’s Restaurant Report annually surveys American consumers about their experiences at various chain restaurants, both limited- and full-service. This year, the survey asked a whopping 22,500 Americans to rate restaurants on a scale of 0 to 100 across several categories, including food accuracy; waitstaff behavior; food quality; beverage quality; restaurant cleanliness and layout; food variety; beverage variety; and website satisfaction.
After tallying the scores from the 2018 survey, Chick-fil-A was the clear overall fast-food winner with a score of 87 out of 100, beating runner-up Panera Bread by a comfortable 5-point margin.
In fact, Chick-fil-A even scored higher than the top-scoring full-service restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, which came in at 83 out of 100.
ACSI’s Restaurant Report is just the latest list to see Chick-fil-A come out on top. In May, Chick-fil-A was named America’s favorite quick-service chicken restaurant by Market Force Information. In April, restaurant consultancy firm Technomic stated that Chick-fil-A is on the fast track to become America’s third largest fast-food chain.
To most Americans, this unbridled success comes as no surprise. Besides serving seriously scrumptious chicken, Chick-fil-A constantly goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, and the corporation itself proudly espouses family-first and Christian values. They refuse to bend to the will of the world. Just imagine how much money Chick-fil-A would stand to gain if they were open on Sundays; it would be millions upon millions of dollars. But founder S. Truett Cathy wanted to prove a point that there’s more to life than a bottom line, and so Chick-fil-A famously remains closed on Sundays.
Chick-fil-A upholds many of the same beliefs that millions of Americans champion. As long as Chick-fil-A continues to stand by those beliefs, Americans will continue to come through the door.
