simon cowell buys dog

A 13-year-old boy had such a tremendous and emotional performance on “America’s Got Talent” that Simon Cowell is fulfilling his big wish – he promised to buy the boy a dog.

Judge Heidi Klum asked what Jeffrey Li would do with $1 million if he won this season’s “America’s Got Talent.” He said as an only child, he wanted a dog. A puppy would provide him with companionship: “It would play with me all day, and I would love that.”

Before the young teen even began performing, Simon said he would buy the boy a dog if he did well. It was quite a surprise, but the judges and the audience were the ones that were shocked by what happened next.

Jeffrey had a pitch-perfect rendition of “You Raise Me Up” that left everyone awestruck. The boy’s voice range was able to manage this very challenging song that many skilled singers simply cannot do. Everyone in the audience appeared to be incredibly touched by this performance. His mother’s face wears an expression that shows both amazement and pride.
