Highlights From Money In The Bank

Money In The Bank is probably the fourth biggest PPV of the year (sorry Survivor Series), and as such, WWE can be expected to break out the big guns and big matches. This card didn’t disappoint. Here are the highlights from the night.

Big Cass vs. Daniel Bryan

Another “Daniel v Goliath” match and a chance for the young Big Cass to get more experience with one of the best technical wrestlers of all time. Will the 7-Footer beat up the little guy and put him away?

Bryan locked in the heel hook for another big win!

Winner: Daniel Bryan

Sami Zayn vs. Bobby Lashley

What has to be the weirdest feud of all time. It went from bad to absurd to boring in record time.

Winner: Lashley after a few one-armed suplexes

Seth Rollins(c) vs. Elias Sampson for the Intercontinental Title

The best wrestler in WWE defends his title against a guy looking to prove he’s more than just a gimmick wrestler. Elias started off with a concert!

Seth is banged up something fierce.

Winner: Rollins via tights grabbing. Seth is one of the few “good guys” who can get away with using a “bad guy” move to win. Being an ex-bad guy and “anarchist” allow for that, I reckon.

Women’s MITB match: Sasha Banks v Natalya v Charlotte vs. Ember Moon v Lana v Becky Lynch v Naomi v Alexa Bliss

Every year the MITB matches are the most unpredictable. Anyone can win! But the real reason everyone loves to watch is all the crazy, irresponsible, career-shortening stunts the Superstars pull off.

Winner: Alexa Bliss via some sneakiness. DAT REACTION DOE

Jinder Mahal vs. Roman Reigns

I like both of these guys. A great deal. They both have a lot to bring and are draws. But a lot of fans, especially those jerks in Chicago, don’t care for them. So, this match will be more about boos and chants than holds.

Here’s the only thing you need to see about the match.

Carmella(C) vs. Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Title

This match wasn’t bad. Best match of Carmella’s single run tbh.

But this is the moment everyone will remember

AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: “Last Man Standing” For the WWE Title

Fourth times the charm? Let’s hope so!

NOT THIS TIME!

Nakamura tricked AJ into a low-blow!

This was crazy, crazier? Nakamura stood up after this.

Winner: AJ Styles via Styles Clash, low blow, Phenomenal Forearm through a table.

Nia Jax(c) v Ronda Rousey: for the Raw Women’s Title

Final Thoughts

Besides the burp of a match between Roman and Jinder, Money In The Bank was so much fun. Unique matches, unique finishes. See you guys later!
