Repo Man Took Their Car But God Made Him Pull Over

Sometimes bad situations can lead us to something wonderful. That’s what happened when a repo man came to take the car of an elderly couple. They handed the keys over to him expecting to never see their car again, but instead, their prayers were answered.

Stan and Pat Kipping were struggling emotionally, physically, and financially. Stan was diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease and their world came tumbling down. They could no longer afford many things, including their car. They prayed for help and God sent them an unlikely angel in a man who came to repossess it.

When Jim Ford showed up to take their 1998 Buick century, the elderly couple handed him the keys. He was used to fighting with people, but the Kippings were polite. Jim hooked up their car and started driving away. Then he did something that even surprised him. He stopped and called the bank asking if he could pay off the past due amount of this Christian couple’s car. This is a remarkable gesture for anyone, let alone a repo man!

“They’re like America’s grandparents. I saw my grandparents in them,” this repo angel said. “And I made it a block before I pulled over and called the bank. And I asked them if I could pay off the past due amount.”

Pat said she always knew everything was in God’s hands. “When he took the car I said, ‘God, do whatever, whatever you think is best for us.’ You know, God works in mysterious ways,” she said.

It gets even better! Jim set up a GoFundMe account to help out “America’s grandparents.” He returned to their house several days later with their cleaned up car telling them it was paid off and handed them an envelope filled with $17,000!

This story proves that God does answer prayers sometimes in the most unlikely of situations. As sweet as this story is, it is even more touching hearing the Kippings speak about their guardian angel.
