Mackenzie Dern didn’t come close to making weight for her strawweight bout last weekend with Amanda Bobby Cooper, but the rising star has moved into the UFC’s top 15 ranks of the division.
Dern, who came in at 123 pounds for her bout with Cooper at UFC 224, dropped the latter in the opening of their bout and finished the deal with a rear-naked-choke. The latest UFC rankings have gone up, and Dern is now sitting in the #15 spot.
The addition moved Angela Hill out of the top 15, and as you can see by reading the tweet below, she’s not too happy about it (warning: explicit language):
