Condom Snorting

Common sense often takes a back seat to viral video fame. The Tide Pod challenge was evidence of this, but there is another teen YouTube challenge that will have you shaking your head.

The condom snorting challenge is just what it sounds like. Teens take video of themselves snorting a condom through their nose in hopes that it goes through their sinus cavities and can be pulled out of their mouths.

Snorting a condom poses not only a choking hazard but allergic reactions and infections are also a risk for these fame-seeking teens. At least two women accidentally swallowed the condoms, developing pneumonia and appendicitis.

This challenge has been around for a while and is now re-emerging. Not only is this bizarre, it is not safe. The goal is to have the video go viral on YouTube and thousands have already posted videos for this challenge.

Bruce Y. Lee, associate professor of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, said that only nasal sprays should be used in your nose, “anything else that goes up your nose can damage the sensitive inner lining of your nose, cause an allergic reaction, or result in an infection.”

Imagine a teen having to tell their parents that a condom is stuck up their nose. While there is always a concern that young children will put things up their noses, there is a reasonable expectation that concern should be well over before a child hits the teen years.

This trend is coming to light as teen activists are looking to strip us of our Second Amendment rights. Some are seeking to even lower the voting age. If this demographic doesn’t know not to snort condoms, they aren’t prepared to lecture us on our rights!

A compilation video of condom snorting challenges is below. Be warned that it is as disturbing as it sounds!

Share this if you weren’t this stupid as a teenager!
