Carol Burnett Pointer Sisters

The Carol Burnett Show” had some A-List guests over the years. In 1975, viewers got a treat when The Pointer Sisters appeared on “The Carol Burnett Show.” When this appearance was announced, everyone knew this would be a fun show with lots of laughter and some great singing.

The Pointer Sisters didn’t let us down! They brought their A-game in a skit based on “My Fair Lady.” Along with Carol Burnett and Vicki Lawrence, The Pointer Sisters belted out a funny rendition of “Get Me To The Church On Time.” Carol and Vicki held their own with these amazing singers. Together, these entertainers killed it!

In the skit, Carol is getting married in the morning, but she’s enjoying quite a few drinks and might have some trouble getting to the altar on time!

The video below is a great example of how fantastic sketch comedy shows used to be. It was the complete package with amazing singing and lots of laughter.

“The Carol Burnett Show” entertained us for eleven seasons. It was good, clean comedy. The entire family could watch the show without having to worry about a child hearing something inappropriate. Generations of Americans gathered together to watch this beloved show!

Carol and her sister kept changing their minds on the color of paint. As you can imagine, Rickles had no tolerance for such nonsense!

It’s been over 50 years since this fun family show debuted. It’s amazing to think of how much time has passed since we first started watching Carol, Vicki, and Harvey in our living rooms!
