Barbara Bush Gets The Perfect Gift On The Way To Her Final Resting Place

Barbara Bush’s funeral was the perfect tribute to a very beloved former First Lady. She had a profound effect on many Americans and people came out in force to say goodbye.

Her funeral was attended by four former Presidents and four First Ladies, but there were several hundred others who showed their respect for Barbara Bush in a manner that will warm every patriotic heart.

After the funeral, the Bush family accompanied Barbara on her journey to her final resting spot at the George H.W. Bush Library in College Station. Many people lined the route to pay their respects as the former First Lady’s hearse drove by.

When the hearse entered the library’s property, the Bushes saw a remarkable sight. Over 700 of Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets were in uniform and standing at attention for this solemn occasion.  It was something to see and likely stirred up even more emotions for Barbara’s family as they prepared to bury her.

Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets website says:

The Corps is the largest, oldest and most visible student organization and leadership training program at Texas A&M.  It is also one of the largest uniformed bodies of students in the nation.

A majority of our leadership training graduates pursue a career in the public or private sector; however, the Corps of Cadets consistently commissions more officers than any institution other than the service academies. An average of 40-45% of our cadets pursue a military commission in the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.

Through the Corps of Cadets, you can excel as a leader through participation in the premiere values-based military and civilian leadership program in the country.

What a beautiful and fitting tribute to a woman who did so much for our country. She was not just a First Lady, she was a lifelong advocate for literacy.

Barbara Bush was buried beside her daughter Robin, who passed away from leukemia in 1953 at age three.

Share this if are praying for the Bush family!
