cop kidnapping

A Georgia Police Officer who pulled over three men for a routine traffic stop got much more than he expected when he was kidnapped by the men.

Officer Bryan Wallace pulled over a white Ford Fusion with three men inside at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday. While the driver, Cory Moody, was cooperative, Wallace felt something was wrong and thought he smelled marijuana, so he called for backup to help search the vehicle.

When fellow Marietta Police Officer Sgt. Brian Honea arrived, Moody attempted to get back into his car. The two officers tried to pull him back out of the car, but Moody put the car in gear and took off with Wallace inside. Meanwhile, Honea was pushed to the ground as the car sped away.

Officer Wallace and Moody struggled inside the car as it traveled at 71 miles per hour on the congested highway and muddy terrain. Wallace pulled the door shut after about a mile to prevent himself from being thrown onto the road and in front of traffic.

One of the suspects jumped out of the car before a complete stop was made in a muddy pit. He was arrested. The other two suspects tried to run, but they were taken into custody as well.

Terrifying dash cam footage of this kidnapping can be viewed below. The driver makes his move at about the 3-minute mark. Thank God this police officer is okay.

The three suspects, Cory Moody, Eyzaiya Moody, and Walter Gadson Jr, were identified as gang members from Massachusetts. They face charges that include assault, obstruction, fleeing and eluding, kidnapping, and felon in possession of a firearm. They also face traffic violation charges. Their mugshots are in the tweet below.

It is very fortunate that Officer Wallace was able to walk away from this awful experience. Our police officers certainly need our support and our prayers!
