He Arose

“He Arose” is a traditional Easter song. It celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Day. It’s been sung many times, but two young brothers have performed perhaps the cutest version of this song.

Brothers Sing ‘He Arose’ For Easter

Julia Thomas posted a YouTube video of her two sons singing this classic Easter hymn.

The video is so adorable that over 5 million people have watched these little boys singing about the joys of Easter. It’s just precious to hear these babies praising the Lord so enthusiastically.

Watching the heartwarming video below is a great way to kick off your Easter weekend.

It’s certainly more appropriate and spiritual than an Easter egg hunt. Jesus is the reason for the season of Easter, too!

This video might just make your day. At the very least, it will certainly bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart!

So sweet! Those boys really put their whole hearts into that performance!

It’s so refreshing to see these boys being raised right. Hopefully, they will carry that spiritual message with them through adulthood.

For me, the littlest one definitely stole the show. It is so cute to hear the youngest one sing, “He a-wose!”

He held that microphone so close to his face so everyone could hear him. Simply precious!

The Lyrics To ‘He Arose’

If you’d like to watch it again and sing along with him, the lyrics are below!

Sometimes it is called “Christ Arose,” but the lyrics are the same.

  1. Low in the grave He lay,
    Jesus, my Savior,
    Waiting the coming day,
    Jesus, my Lord!
  2. Refrain:
    Up from the grave He arose,
    With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
    He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
    And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
    He arose! He arose!
    Hallelujah! Christ arose!
  3. Vainly they watch His bed,
    Jesus, my Savior;
    Vainly they seal the dead,
    Jesus, my Lord!
  4. Death cannot keep his Prey,
    Jesus, my Savior;
    He tore the bars away,
    Jesus, my Lord!
