Being a wrestler means you know when you have to change your persona. Changing their persona would certainly be good for the following wrestlers, who found themselves losing popularity with fans in 2017. Here are five WWE characters that need to be changed now!
Bray Wyatt
One of the wrestlers who certainly needs a change is Bray Wyatt. Even before the cheating scandal broke, Wyatt was struggling to keep the WWE Universe interested.
Even though I cannot deny that Bray Wyatt did some of the best promos in 2017, he always fails to deliver on the built expectation. If his character does not get the change it needs, then the future might be bleak for the head of the Wyatt family.
Randy Orton
I don’t like Randy Orton one bit on a personal level, but that does not mean I wish him bad luck in his career. Unfortunately, Randy Orton has been suffering on SmackDown, mainly due to poorly booked matches if I’m honest.
Randy is a face/tween at the moment, but he should go full heel again. Let’s face it, Randy is no face, and we all know it. Just let the man run with what he does best.
Sasha Banks
3 out of the five wrestlers on my list are wrestlers I don’t like due to their real-life personalities. This certainly applies to Sasha Banks. A hard worker for sure, but so entitled.
Unfortunately, some of her actual character traits are shining through, making her less believable as face Sasha Banks. She has some heel tendencies throughout her character, but also the constant ‘boo’ references get on my nerves. Just let her be a heel already, so I can like myself again and dislike her for a reason.
Natalya
Nattie, I love you honestly, but the character needs a little change. It’s hard to watch because you want her to become one of the longest reigning women’s champions. Unfortunately, with her character as it is, I don’t see that happening. Regardless, she is one of the most technically gifted performers in the ring.
If Nattie reads this, which I secretly hope she does, play on the crazy cat persona even more. Even throw in a ‘meow’ in there like cat woman! Sleep in a cat basket, take it to the next level! I want you as a champion for a long time to come!
Dana Brooke
Even though Dana should have stayed in NXT a little while longer, she is now on the main roster and not being used to her full potential. With some training behind the scenes and some exposure to a character change, Dana could certainly become great. I just hope they give her that opportunity because this girl deserves it!
