NFL Stars Pay Tribute To Ric Flair With Cleats Featuring The Nature Boy

Ric Flair is a cultural icon. He’s not only beloved by hardcore wrestling fans, but by people across the spectrum. His personality and famous catch-phrases transcend the squared circle. Heck, just look at all the songs simply titled “Ric Flair.”

Ric Flair is the most influential wrestler of all time. Not just in the ring but out of it. With Hulk Hogan falling out of cultural favor, Ric Flair is the classic wrestler everyone emulates. From his athleticism, his hair, to his jewelry and his bravado. Naitch is the epitome of style and cool. Even today, he is still the man, and everyone knows it!

In that vein, two NFL stars, Atlanta’s Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu, paid tribute to the Nature Boy with some special cleats that were STLYIN’ and PROFILIN’ WOOOO.

WOOOOO! Those are some killer cleats.

More via BroBible:

Each pair of shoes featured a portrait of Flair in addition to his trademark “WOOOOO!” Sanu gets bonus points for including multiple catchphrases, but he also loses some for deciding to use Comic Sans. With that said, it’s hard to lose when you have Ric Flair on your side.

Flair and Jones hung out at a Falcons’ practice earlier this year.

Flair’s Influence in Sports

Beyond Jones and Sanu, several other athletes have paid tribute to the Nature Boy.

From celebrating with his signature lines.

To using Flair’s famous and strut and WOOOO to celebrate a touchdown!

Ric Flair is an absolute legend. I’m so glad he was able to recover from his health scare. He’s an important part of our cultural fabric.
