On Valentine’s Day 1958, Jerry Lee Lewis appeared on Saturday Night Beechnut Show. The show was hosted by a very young Dick Clark and packed with enthusiastic fans.
The Killer was introduced by the President of his fan club before singing “Great Balls Of Fire.” It was clearly an exciting time for those in the audience to see such a great performance. They danced and clapped as Lewis sang and played the piano in his signature style. Notice how well dressed everyone is compared to today’s performances.
What a great throwback video. This song has certainly stood the test of time. If you enjoyed this, you can click here to watch Jerry Lee Lewis perform this song and others with Tom Jones.
