An hour before Sunday night’s Las Vegas shooting at a music festival, country duo Big & Rich led the crowd in “God Bless America.” Thousands of people held up their lighters and sang in unison. It was a heartwarming gesture at the time but is incredibly profound to watch knowing what would happen just an hour later.
Kaya Jones tweeted the video below which was taken from the stage. Thousands of people sang about the goodness of our nation right before Stephen Paddock‘s horrific acts.
The crowd was filled with proud Americans who were at the concert to have a good time. That unity is what gets us through times of crisis. The spirit of America will never stand down.
