Prince Harry Diana

The 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death is quickly approaching. At the time of her death, the world stopped to grieve the loss of The People’s Princess. But, no one suffered more than her two sons, Princes William and Harry.

William and Harry will be appearing in the BBC documentary, Diana, 7 Days, that focuses on the days following their mother’s death.

A new clip has been released of Prince Harry discussing the sheer callousness of the paparazzi who photographed their mother dying rather than helping her. It’s important to remember that Harry was only 12 years old at the time of his mother’s death. He suffered the most from the abhorrent actions of these photographers who he believed caused the crash.

“I think one of the hardest things to come to terms with is the fact that the people that chased her through into the tunnel were the same people that were taking photographs of her, while she was still dying on the back seat of the car,” Harry said.

As you can tell in the video below, this is something he will carry with him forever.

Harry also praised his grandmother Queen Elizabeth for removing all the newspapers which helped shield him from the pictures of their dying mother. “Our grandmother deliberately removed the newspapers and things like that, so there was nothing in the house at all, so we didn’t know what was going on,” Harry said.

Diana, 7 Days will air Sunday night on BBC1. You can see a clip of William and Harry discussing what a great mother Diana was by clicking here.
