Larry the Cable Guy‘s most devoted fans realize that he doesn’t actually have a southern accent. He was raised on a pig farm in Nebraska and was not born a southern redneck.
Larry doesn’t hide this fact. He describes himself as a “linguistic chameleon.” He assumes the accents of the people he is around.
In the video below, you can hear Larry in his natural state. His voice is quite a bit different from what you hear on stage! He sounds like he’s from the Midwest!
I love Larry the Cable Guy, but I actually had never heard him speak in his own voice before! He really is a talented guy. He sure can Git-R-Done!
