Prince Harry is apparently ready to ditch Royal life for his girlfriend Meghan Markle. A new report states that Queen Elizabeth denied his request to marry American Markle, who is divorced.
Harry is prepared to choose love over the royal lifestyle. An insider told OK, “Harry can’t imagine going back to his duties without her by his side,” the source claimed. “She’s given him a new lease on life, and he’s tired of putting everything but himself first. He’s waited years to find this level of happiness, and he’s not going to give it up without a fight.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly supporting Harry even though it means he has to become a commoner if the Queen continues to refuse the request.
Prince Harry had recently said that he wasn’t thrilled with being a royal. He didn’t like living under a microscope. In the video below he said that no royal wants to be king or queen.
Prince Harry would not be the first in his family to choose love in a similar situation. King Edward VIII abdicated the throne when he married Wallis Simpson, also an American divorcée. When he abdicated, Elizabeth‘s father George VI took the crown.
