This Math Problem Is Causing A Lot Of Arguments, Here’s The Real Answer!

Occasionally there can be some heated discussions over a math problem. There is a reason for this. Some of us were taught using different methods.

One of these problems that can cause some debate is 6 -1 x 0 +2 ÷ 2 =

If you type this question into a math search engine, the answer is 7, but if you use a calculator, the answer is 1. I actually came up with 1 the first time I tried to solve it. But, as the video below explains, when you insert parenthesis in proper places, the answer is different.

What answer did you get? The lack of parenthesis made it more challenging for me. But, as soon as I saw the video, it all clicked!
