Charlie Chaplin‘s work stands the test of time. Almost a century later, his humor can still make us laugh, even without sound.
The 1928 film The Circus is a great example of that. In a clip from that movie, Chaplin escapes a charging horse by opening a door and running in. Chaplin then encountered a bigger problem than the horse. He was trapped behind a locked door in a cage with a lion!
All hope appears lost for Chaplin after a woman who he asks to rescue him faints. Watch the video below to see what happens!
The simplicity of silent movies amazes me. With little production, Chaplin entertained millions and his humor still holds up a century later!
