Tonight’s Raw continues to build towards EXTREME RULES, WWE’s one night a year when things move from PG to PG-13 except for no blood. But guys will still get an “Extreme Opportunity.”
The time between Wrestlemania and SummerSlam is always a low-point rating and creative wise for WWE. The post-Mania burnout means the crowds and the company don’t expect much to happen. But even still, the show must go on!
Here’s what we’re looking forward to tonight.
MAJOR MATCH ANNOUNCED:
Karl Anderson of Gallows And Anderson aka “The Club” will be taking on Finn Balor on Raw.

What is interesting about this is that Anderson and Balor both made their names in NJPW and were the initial members of the Bullet Club.
Perhaps we’re in for a swerve and Balor will reunite with his “Club” friends?
Extreme Opportunity
The above seems to be the latest phrase that WWE will bore into our brains. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, and Bray Wyatt will all battle June 4th in Baltimore. The winner will get fed to face off against Brock Lesnar at GREAT BALLS OF FIRE in July. The build will continue as all five try to gain the upper hand on one another. This feud already feels clunky. Also bizarre that the IC champ isn’t involved somehow.
The Low Blow
After Dean Ambrose low-blowed Miz to stop him from low-blowing him, a stipulation was added to their re-match at Extreme Rules. Ambrose can now lose the title if he is DQ’d. Seems like a great way for shenanigans from the Miz. Or not. This is a feud from Smackdown that didn’t need to make the transition.
Alexa Bliss comes out swinging!
Alexa Bliss will face off against Bayley in a “Kendo Stick on a Pole Match” at Extreme Rules. This Extreme Opportunity is a good chance for the ladies to show that they can hit each other with sticks just as hard as the boys can.
Wrestling equality means ladies are doing all the same gimmick matches as the dudes. Expect some more kendo battles and “on a pole” jokes. Is Russo booking this?
