However, none of these couples speak to the imagination as much as Nikki Bella and John Cena. At WrestleMania 33, John finally popped the question and asked Nikki Bella to marry him. The Beginning

Not many people realize that John Cena and Nikki Bella have been dating for quite some time. The couple started dating at the end of 2012, after John Cena got divorced from his former wife Elizabeth Huberdeau. Since the divorce, Cena vowed not to get married again, so we are all happy he changed his mind!

John Cena is not the only one with a previous marriage in the relationship, because Nikki Bella was briefly married to her high school sweetheart as well. Before Nikki started dating John Cena, she also had a relationship with fellow WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler’s Confession

It is no secret that Dolph Ziggler still had feelings for Nikki Bella while she was dating John Cena. He openly declared his feelings for her during an episode of Total Divas two years ago, where he said he could give her the marriage and kids she wanted. Still, Nikki stuck with her man and seems to be rewarded for it now.

The Turning Point

Many fans saw Cena’s viewpoint on marriage change recently. During an interview with US Magazine, Cena stated: “She’s truly the love of my life, and she deserves to be treated as such,” he said. “Because we’re in the same industry, she truly understands that there will be fans that are looking for a different sort of admiration, but it takes two to be disrespectful, and I would like to think that in most every encounter, I try to treat her with as much respect as I can.”

John Cena has certainly changed his viewpoint on marriage, but it is not certain if his viewpoint on children has changed. During an interview after WrestleMania at Today, he was asked why he changed his viewpoint on marriage and children. Cena did not correct the interviewer and acknowledged the fact that he changed his mind, so one would assume this includes children as well.

The Marriage

WWE has not stated if the impending marriage of these two superstars is going to play a role in the wrestling ring.
