Mike Pence

Vice President Mike Pence has had enough of Kim Jong Un’s nonsense. He made it clear that the North Korean dictator’s days of acting in such a reckless manner are over. The United States will no longer tolerate his nuclear threats.

On a trip to the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, Pence addressed this issue. “The era of strategic patience is over,” the Vice President said. “President Trump has made it clear that the patience of the United States and our allies in this region has run out and we want to see change. We want to see North Korean abandon its reckless path of the development of nuclear weapons; and, also, its continual use and testing of ballistic missiles is unacceptable.”

Standing with South Korea’s acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn, Pence said that our relationship with the country is “iron-clad and immutable” and that “all options [are] on the table” regarding responding to North Korea’s hostile actions.

This hardline approach is a complete reversal from the Obama Administration’s policy of appeasing Kim Jong Un:

President Trump made campaign promises to be tough on foreign policy and national security. Vice President Pence is helping him hold firm on that promise and turning it into a reality.

After America’s military action in both Syria and Afghanistan in recent days, North Korea needs to heed this warning or face dire consequences.

Share this if you are glad to have a President again who takes national defense seriously!
