World Of Sport, the classic British wrestling show, is coming back to TV in the UK. Impact Wrestling and Jeff Jarrett are helping co-produce the series with ITV and providing some of their British talent for the tapings.
Jarret also seems to be doing this under his “Global Force Wrestling” brand. GFW has hours of un-shown TV itself that hasn’t been aired. It never quite got off the ground, but Jarrett has used it as a traveling promotion for himself and aligned wrestlers. He’s cut deals with promotions across the US and the world.
This is good for both impact and WoS. This will help the Brits get some US exposure while allowing Impact and Jarrett a foot into the exploding UK wrestling scene.
More wrestling from different sources is always a good thing. Wrestling is at its best when it is competitive. As much as people love to make fun of Impact, we need them around to keep WWE honest and hot on their toes.
