One Indonesian man didn’t have to go far to encounter something horrific. Nature came to his own backyard!
Akbar Salubiro was heading out to harvest palm oil. The 25-year-old Indonesian man never came home. Friends were concerned about his disappearance since neighbors heard screaming on Sunday night.
When they went to his back garden, his neighbors discovered a huge python. Alarmed at what might have happened, they cut the python open to discover the missing man inside. He had been swallowed whole!
Reticulated pythons are boa constrictors that swallow their prey whole after suffocating them, so the body was intact and fully clothed. The man even had his boots on when the snake was cut open.
What a horrible way to die. Nature isn’t gentle and kind. It can be downright vicious and cruel. Thankfully that snake won’t be having anymore meals.
Obviously, villagers are shocked at this discovery. Salubiro’s wife wasn’t at home and learned about her husband’s death on the news.

His family certainly could use our prayers, as they not only grieve but come to grips with the horrifying reality of his death.
