There is a reason they say dogs are a man’s best friend. Sometimes it is literally true and this man risked his own life, to save that of his best friend……his dog.
As you can see in the video, the dog is not making any progress while desperately trying to swim to the edge of the ice. His owner strips down and jumps into the freezing water to rescue the pooch.

At first it looks like the dog is trying to get away but it’s really just the man giving the dog a push in the right direction in order to get him over the shore where the man finally pulls him from the freezing water!
