Four men and one woman were arrested in the February shooting of Lady Gaga’s dog walker and the dognapping her her two French bulldogs. One of those arrested is the woman who claimed to have found the dogs and was seeking the $500,000 reward.
Thursday’s arrest is welcome news for the singer and anyone who loves dogs.
Lady Gaga’s dog walker was shot four times before two of her dogs were taken. A third dog ran back to Ryan Fischer, the injured dog walker.
My beloved dogs Koji and Gustav were taken in Hollywood two nights ago. My heart is sick and I am praying my family will be whole again with an act of kindness. I will pay $500,000 for their safe return. Email [email protected] to contact us. pic.twitter.com/3NY9u7Mw2K

“Known Gang Members”
All five have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The four men are described as “known gang members.” Los Angeles Judge Victoria Wilson forbid photographers from taking pictures of the suspects in order to protect their identity.
While we do not have their pictures, we do know their names. 18-year-old James Jackson, 19-year-old Jaylin White, and 27-year-old Lafayette Whaley have been charged with attempted murder and armed robbery.

Jackson’s bail exceeded $3 million as he also faces one charge of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and a felon carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. He also faces an additional count of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury.
Police believe the dognapping was not targeted at Lady Gaga. Rather the suspects just wanted to steal French bulldogs because of their high resale value in the thousands.
One Suspect Released On Bail
Gang member Jaylin White’s 40-year-old father Howard and his girlfriend Jennifer McBride are facing counts of acting as accessories after the fact by helping hide the two stolen dogs.
McBride took the dogs to the police station pretending that she found them. It immediately raised suspicions. Video of her returning the dogs has been submitted as evidence in the case. She was not given the half million dollar reward.
Lady Gaga’s father Joe Germanotta said the suspects first called the reward hotline rather than taking the dogs to the police station. And, that set off an alarm.

Jennifer McBride was released on bail after her attorney argued that she is a diabetic and needs her insulin. However, she is under house arrest.
Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker
Lady Gaga’s dog walker Ryan Fischer survived the attack but was hospitalized. On social media, he credits the singer’s dog Miss Asia with helping to save him.
“Four days ago, while a car sped away and blood poured from my gun shot wound, an angel trotted over and laid next to me,” Fisher wrote in the Instagram post below. “My panicked screams calmed as I looked at her, even though it registered that the blood pooling around her tiny body was my own.”
