There’s a new addition to the Y: Marshals cast. Logan Marshall-Green is set to appear alongside Luke Grimes’ character, Kayce Dutton, in one of the newest Yellowstone spinoffs for CBS.

The official logline for Y: Marshals is below:
“With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.”

Current Progress on the Series
The series was first reported to be in the works at CBS in March 2025. The series is slated to premiere midway through the 2025-2026 broadcast season, with thirteen episodes in the first season. Episodes will air on CBS on Sunday nights in the post-Tracker 9 pm ET time slot.
Behind the Scenes
The first episode of Y: Marshals is written by Spencer Hudnut and directed by Greg Yaitanes. MTV Entertainment Studios is producing the series, with Taylor Sheridan executive producing.
David C. Glasser is executive producing for 101 Studios, along with John Linson, Art Linson, Spencer Hudnut, Luke Grimes, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yar, Greg Yaitanes, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox. Hudnut will also be a showrunner.
Paramount Global Content Distribution will distribute the series.
