Part Two of the fifth and final season of Yellowstone is set to premiere on November 10. On Tuesday, fans got their first look at these final episodes in a new trailer.
Here’s what we know so far.
Trailer For Final Yellowstone Episodes
Fans have been waiting for these episodes ever since Part One of season 5 of Yellowstone wrapped in January of 2023. Yellowstone has been one of the most popular shows on television for years. Indeed, it was the most-watched cable TV show for two summers in a row in 2018 and 2019.
By the time the first part of this season premiered on Paramount Network last year, 8.8 million people were tuning in to watch the show. That number went up to 10.5 million thanks to simulcasts across Country Music Television, TV Land, and Pop TV.
Now, everyone is dying to know how it will all end. While we can’t tell you that, we can show you how the end starts!

Yellowstone Comes To An End
Yellowstone has long starred Kevin Costner as the big-time Montana rancher and patriarch of the Dutton family. Costner is featured heavily in the above trailer. However, he has departed the series as the filming dates for Part Two conflicted with his four-part Western epic movie series Horizon.
Costner’s co-star Kelly Reilly recently spoke out to say that Costner’s “absence” was “always” part of the plan for the Yellowstone ending, which may come as a surprise to fans.
“The absence was part of the ending,” Reilly told Entertainment Weekly. “That’s not something that we had to pivot, that was already written into the tapestry of the story. It was always going to happen, it just happened a little bit differently.”
Reilly went on to say that the Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan had always intended for the show to run for five seasons.
“It was always going to be five seasons in [Sheridan’s] head, but because the show became so successful, the network and everyone wanted more,” Reilly said. “So, in a way, fate took it and we ended this part of Yellowstone in a way that he always envisioned it to end.”
“We got to end it in a way that [Taylor] always envisioned it to end,” she added. “It’s a real gift.”

Costner Talks Leaving Yellowstone
Back in June, Costner told The Hollywood Reporter that the decision to leave Yellowstone “wasn’t tough.”
“It was a necessary decision to say, ‘Hey, OK, I don’t want to really talk about this anymore. It’s time to move on,'” he continued. “I gave this thing five seasons. I was really happy to do it. And I don’t need drama. So, let’s just take that drama away, let’s take the guessing [away].”
That being said, Costner is grateful to Yellowstone fans for their support.
“The fans have been way too good to me,” he gushed. “And my obligation is to go on and continue to make things that mean something to them.”
“It was something that really changed me,” he said of Yellowstone. “I loved it, and I know you loved it.”
The last episodes of Yellowstone season 5 premiere on November 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Paramount Network. Be sure to check it out to see how the crazy story of the Dutton family comes to an end!
