How many times have we screamed at the TV because a certain couple didn’t end up together? Whether they were paired up for a short time and eventually broke up, or were never dating to begin with, but fans knew they would be the perfect couple, we’ve found some of the best TV couples we wish had ended up together at the end.
6. Robin and Barney
How I Met Your Mother is a classic sitcom show featuring charming characters. And in the show, Barney stars in the show as the ultimate playboy, boating his skills of seducing countless women. However, Robin is the one who encourages him to leave his wild ways behind and end up forming a beautiful friendship. That friendship soon develops into romance, and is easily one of the most heartwarming relationships. Unforruntately, they end up breaking up as Robin reuintes with Ted.
5. Haley and Andy
Modern Family is another classic sitcom that focuses on three families connected by blood in some way. And in the show, Haley is the eldest sister of the Dunphy family. During the show, she has many romances, but one that stuck with fans the most was with Andy, her nephew’s sweet and caring babysitter. The two dates briefly, and seemed to be the perfect couple, but later broke up when Andy pursued his dream job in Utah. Haley ended up with her high school boyfriend Dylan, which for many, wasn’t a great couple. This is by far one of the best TV couples we wish ended up together.
4. Dean and Castiel
Supernatural was one of the biggest shows when it was airing, between 2005 and 2020. The show follows two brothers, Dean and Sam, who hunt demon, ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings while searchign for their father. And in the show, Castiel eventually makes an appearance, and quickly his bond with Dean is a fan-favorite. In Season 15, Castiel confesses his feelings for Dean, but unfortunately, they never ended up together, and it was heartbreaking for all fans.
3. Brienne and Jaime
Despite Game of Thrones being an intense, action-packed fantasy story, there were various romance subplots that fans enjoyed. One that never truly became anything, yet one of the best TV couples we wish ended up together, was between Brienne of Tarth and Jaime Lannister. The both started out as enemies, but quickly turned into something else. Unfortunatetly, Jaime didn’t change, and instead, returned to his sister, leaving Brienne heartbroken.
2. Alexis and Ted
Another amazing sitcom that you should watch is Schitt’s Creek, which has one of the best TV couples we wish ended up together. Alexis is one of the many stars of the show, who plays the daughter. And in the first season, we see her dating Ted, and they seem pretty compatible. They broke up, which was a great choice for them, but they had a chance to rekindle their relationship. However, they weren’t able to work it out, and ended up breaking up during the last season.
1. Rory and Jess
Gilmore Girls is one of the most beloved shows, and it also has one of the best TV couples we wish ended up together at the end. Rory, the main character in the show, had a few boyfriends in the show, but a favorite was Jess. They seemed to fit the best, plus they helped each other acheive their goals. Unforruntaley, they ended up breaking up, but fans still beleive they were the best fit.
